Lowering car with under tray..

Featured Replies

Looking at lowering my Fabia in the near future, just wondering if everyone that's lowered theirs has removed the under tray because the under tray itself seems to sit pretty low as well as the inner wheel arches that screw on to it. If anyone can let me know what they did that would be great, cheers.

I took mine off mate, it's only held on with grub screws which aren't the best quality. Ended up popping them at the rear so was held on with cable ties lol, when i lowered it I decided just to bin it. You can get an alloy sump protector for them if you still want some protection. Pop over to my work if you want to see how much clearance there is.

I'm lowered on Weitec coilovers (wound all the way down on the rear with both adjuster cup and rubber mounts in place, and fronts adjusted to suit) and still have my under tray in place.

Where I live out in the sticks it's just not practical in my eyes to go any lower. Majority of the roads where I live are country lanes and cambered, and occasionally scrapes the undertray.

One it keeps all the mud out of my engine bay created by the local farmers, and two, it's nice to know that when I do hear a scrape I know it's the tray and not my sump! ;)

I still have my under tray on,it looks pretty low but not had any major problem with it catching on stuff
