Renewed with AF once again in December. Just noticed looking through that there's something about agreed valuation available for an additional fee.

Quick question for anyone who's got this (or Dan, if you're out there) as it's not clear from the form. If I was to collate the required pictures and send over, how is the valuation agreed at and do I need to provide comparables? Say for example I value my car at a certain figure and AF were to say otherwise, is there an agreement we come to or is it basically a case of your word is gospel?

Basically I think it's a damn good idea but the form doesn't really make clear how this works other than the cost and the photo requirements.

My car has an agreed value of £7,500 but I am thinking of getting rid of that at renewal time, especially if the premium drops.

Did you select that figure though devon or did the insurer?

I was asked and came up with that figure.  It's only due to the modications on the car.  I would rather in the scenario of a write off to have a guarantee in place that I get the shell back regardless of damage, and just have "normal" fabia cover in terms of the valuation.  The bits on my car are worth far more than its whole.
