Need help with some questions regarding MFSW Retrofit.

Hey Everyone!

Longtime reader, first time poster.

I have a Skoda Octavia 1,4 TSi Greentech (11/2011). I've spend weeks, almost months trying to pull this off on my car, but with very confusing results, mostly due to wrong parts and mixing, what's nearing months of reading myself senseless to the point where everything starts to sound alike, thus me coming here, in the humble hopes of someone able to steer me in the right direction of a solution if possible.

I've bought the:

Maxidot display.

MFSW with the Roller buttons (can't remember the actual part number, but I'll add it once I get the chance to write it down the next time in my garage).

AirBag Loom for the new Steering Wheel (5K0 971 584 IIRC).

I've done a recent Auto-Scan, everything is included in it, except the steering wheel.

Now my main question, and hopefully the solution, is, can I exchange my current Clockspring module with the newer 5K0953569AL without having to replace the arms as well and thus be able to get the MFSW working? That said, I've been trying to get it working with my current, which is a 5K0953521BL.Replacing only the Clockspring instead of the entire Steering Column Stalk. Seeing as my old is a Low-Midline, and the newer Superseded **** Spring has become a Highline. More importantly, is there anything I've missed specifically, in regards to parts, coding, throwing salt rocks over my left shoulder?

Note: 19-CAN Gateway; is corrected. But it's not related to my current predicament. Was feeling MacGuyverish for a few days.

I know this is a very old thread, but how did you manage to exchange your old instrument cluster, with the newer maxidot ?

It would have required some coding ? Or ?

Hey all, Managed to get under my partners car at the weekend to service it and change the oil. Whilst there I was quite taken by how clean the engine was, but there was a patch of what looked like oil on the undertray. This was later discovered to be coming (I believe) from the gearbox drain plug. The car has had a new clutch, flywheel and replacement box in the last twelve months and so I can only assume there's an issue with the drain plug or a seal. Looking really closely at the drain plug

I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.

Hi all, recently bought a 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi with 1 key and it's the push button start, had 2 mobile locksmiths out and both have the same problem, they can cut and programme the keys so it locks and unlocks and will start the car but the new key they cut will only start the car if held right up to the button and then you get the dreaded "key not found" warning and noise,the original key works fine so I can't see that it's a car fault and I can put up with holding the spare key up to the switch a

Hello, can anyone help! I have a kamiq and at 55,000 my car suddenly failed, teva burning smell and no power. Was told it needed a clutch replacement and brakes replacement. £2,500. I questioned this as I’ve been driving for 34 years and never burnt out a clutch. I was forced to pay. I had raised questions about the car having a fault. Was told it was driver error. Fast forward 8 weeks and my clutch failed again - the same burning smell. Garage are unbelievably wanting £1,500 to replace again!!
