Electric Driver's Seat not an Option on an Elegance Outdoor DSG 4x4

Featured Replies

It seemed so simple. I studied the brochure, arrived at the dealership with pen poised to order a Yeti 4x4 Elegance Outdoor DSG with an electric driver's seat which I need "on medical grounds".

Please be aware, contrary to the way the brochure looks, you can only order the electric drivers seat on an indoor not an outdoor variant and only on a front wheel drive model.

So the only option is to look at the L&K!

Isn't it standard on the Elegance?

It certainly wasn't for MY2014.

I have just had a reply from "the other forum" and one of the guys checked on configurator and he reckons if you add the dipping door mirror option at £50 it will take it. Let's see what the dealer says tomorrow. I will come back with the answer.

Just checked and I'm wrong.

Config says you can but you have to get the electric mirrors too.

Is it me or is the process of working out what's available, eg models and options, more difficult than it has to be.

The Qashqai brochure is straight forward in comparison.

Every document relating to the Yeti seems difficult to work out......maybe being a GOM doesn't help.

+1. The Configurator wont let you spec the auto dipping door mirrors unless you order the Electric drivers seat.

This seems to be great news. All I need to add is the dipping mirror option for £50 and I can then have the elec seat.

This is far more cost effective than having to go for a L&K which appeared to be the only option for me.

My thanks to everyone for the info.

Also for some reason you cannot spec the electric seat if you've added seat back tables.

Morning guys, I have the elegance dsg and have the electric drivers seat, I can confirm that you have to add the dipping door mirrors. They all work very well

I can see enough of the kerb without the need for further complexity.

I found the dipping function got in the way when I wanted the mirrors to work 'normally'. Now I've disabled it.

I agree with john999boy. I had the feature on my Tig and it might be good for checking out the kerb but I like to see clearly down both sides of the car when I'm reversing, so I disabled it as well.

I reckon £50 would be well spent so I can add the elec seat, rather than paying c£2000 extra for the L&K?

Urrell mentioned the tables attached to the front seats. The only use I found for them was I had a valid reason not o travel in the back of the Tig, which had the tables, as my knees scraped on them as I'm 6'7". I always try to look at positives!

I have the folding tables as standard on a SE+. Just makes the seat pockets harder to use.

Not standard on any trim level even the L&K, but it is well worth the extortionate price if you need to fine-tune the lumbar support (the adjustment is far better than the std lumbar support)

Is the electric seat the same as my old Tig..... You can raise or lower the front or rear of the seat base independently? This is helpful to stop the roll at the front of the seat slowing blood flow down to my feet!

Since the very first day you had the electric seat as an option (and I got one of the very first ones in a Yeti, so should know) you had to have the dipping mirror with the seat. It has always been the case. Only difference now is that you seemingly can order the dipping mirror on its own?
