Scrap 1.9 diesel Felicia with sound engine - anyone interested?

Featured Replies

That's it really, my lovely old Felicia is dead after a head on collision with a lorry at relatively low speed but enough to make it uneconomical to fix, as it needed new suspension and transmission (driveshaft universal joint etc) bits already.

The radiator has been damaged in the crash, but the engine is fine and has never misbehaved. Had a new cam belt about 8000 miles ago, new clutch 40000 miles ago, new glow plugs about 20000 miles ago, replaced oil air and fuel filters about 5000 miles ago. The car has done 202000 miles.

Some local Slovakian guys have had the seats and spare wheel but the rest is pretty much all there and intact, so any bits you want, let me know.

I'm in Sheffield by the way.

Will you post?

I'd be interested in the Front ARB and subframe, if you're breaking it...?

Can I put my name down for the diesel injection pump if you decide to split the engine.

I'd prefer to sell the car whole but might consider splitting relatively easy stuff. Might just eBay the car whole if nobody here wants it. How easy are the subframe and ARB to extract, and what's reasonable to expect for them?

Tom: I hope at least to sell the engine whole, since apparently they fit some VW camper vans, but will let you know otherwise.

Yes its quite a popular engine to put in a t25 van.

I Know a few camper fettlers around your way. How much are you after for it?

I really don't know what's reasonable, how much is a car worth for scrap metal these days? I expect I might get £100 for that, so £120 - £200 maybe, but I have no way to transport it.

Anyone's thoughts on what's reasonable would be very welcome.
