Soft touch indicators

Featured Replies

Can you get them for the mk2...what I mean, in my astra h it's a nice soft movement on the indicators, no big bloody clunk, or are they just worn, I just wondered. A lot of the time now I just use the 3 flash mode as it's a nice soft move, I rarely use full indication as I hate the clunk

You just touch for 3 blinks

I kow that's what I do....I mean when I put them full on, I hate the clunk and wondered if there was a comfort/soft touch type I cant get

It's how the stalk is I'm afraid.

When I swap from my Superb to the wife's Octavia I too realise how much harder you have to press the stalk in the Octavia than in the Superb.

It certainly wouldn't stop me from indicating though!

VCDS can change the number of blinks per touch.

I often just hold the stalk with my pinky rather than go all they way.

I hate the 3-flash mode - it just encourages drivers to give an inadequate indication.  3 flashes are NOT enough.  If an indication is required a decent length one is necessary.  As an IAM observer I always advise drivers to allow at least 3 flashes BEFORE starting to change lane and to allow the indicators to continue to flash until the change of lane or turn is complete.

Unfortunately, on the pre-FL, the number cannot be changed from three. Sorry, it's a number you are stuck with.

Unless you have a Polar FIS+ where the number can be changed from anything between 1 and 10 flashes ;)
