mk2 vrs lowered

Featured Replies

Neither have I - but I think it's an awesome colour, I love it! I think some cars can only really pull off certain colours, but the Fabia seems to be able to pull off a decent range of colours I thinks!

I never thought I'd own a bright green car, but I love mine!

Anyway, sorry, back on topic!

Super photo

The Combi is deffo the coolest version of the vrs by a country mile!

When and why did Estates become Combis?

You are right, they are a much better and more practical shape though.

They were Kombi / Kombiwagen first in Mainland Europe where they build them.

Estates, Station Wagons, Shooting-Brakes seemed to be English Speaking terms, and now Mercedes like Shooting-Brake.

Lowered 30 mm with Weitec GT-dampers and springs!

What have you used to tint your rear lights?

For a non-Combi owner I have to disagree, there has never been a hot-combi or hot-estate labelling.

I remember a passion wagon but that was based on a different kind of performance.

I do like the black detailing of Confide's car.

I have "spi vision" on mine :)

I used flyeyes, but was really unhappy with it.

Went back to the pattern I "invented" and then modified it abit more.

Now the taillights have been sanded with 2000+ paper and then laquered with some layers of clearlaquer.

Looks awesome if you ask med ;).

Thank you for the "love", I've been figuring of doing it again but this time in black pearl metallic.

And too be fair, it's always been called "Kombi" in Kombi-country : Sweden ;).

SAAB 9-5 had the label "Sport Combi" for about 10 years before VAG snatched it to the Golf 7.

And the SAAB 9-5 was available with stiffer suspension and a 260 bhp / 370 nm Aero-version :).

This is what Skoda Build as their Fast Combi. (Around 220ps as a Petrol Version.)

& in English speaking countries it is Skodas Fast Estate car. Same Difference.

So what about this specimen then?  :sun:

Ah but the Germans came up with 'Avant'  for these type of 'Estates cars'.

Lost in translation came with 'Space Back'  for cars with less 'Space in the Back',

& Sportback for Sporty cars with pretty boring rears.

VW Golf Sportsvan for a Small People Carrier / MPV, and various terms used seem to get lost in Translation.

Is this owned by the managing director of FHM magazine? If not give them a call and see if he wants to buy the plate off you!!

I have "spi vision" on mine :)

Hm that's too dark, i only want to dim them by about 10%

Its really not... its not a tint, its a honeycomb cover , its MOT compliant, I have a flash pic I took somewhere shows the reflectors working correctly... these are the reflectors reflecting the phone flash :) (unless you just mean the "look" you are after! lol...)

I do like it but i don't want it that dark, it does suit the car though :)

Costing around 6 times as much as a new Fabia VRS then I agree.
