Solution to error-free license plate "LEDs"

Featured Replies

Hopefully this has not been shared yet. I got totally tired of messing around with Led license plate bulbs already with my previous Octavia.

Blown bulb errors, no matter how many can-bus Led's I tried. I finally soldered a normal bulb along the other license plate light. No errors, but flickering after a couple of weeks.

Now with the Fabia, errors again... finally found this on Ebay:

A set of blue coloured normal festoons, YES! No errors, no flickering, look like LED's, but not too much light like some LED's tend to have. Hopefully they last :)

Maybe just a little bit too bluish for my taste, but a lot better than regular ones. See pictures attached.

You wont get errors in the fabia like you did with the octy. Its a different system.

Decent leds wont cause an error message

The ones I tried did, but it doesn't matter, they start to flicker very rapidly anyhow. Might be because of the cold weathers.

Were they off ebay by any chance?

Where else ;)

Where else ;)

Haha yeah.

Thats your problem though ;)

The ones from hids direct are much better quality and wont cause an error in the fabia (:

My leds were from ebay also, cheap but no errors or issues, also come with a year (or 6 months) warranty so i'm covered, plus are brighter and better looking than the halogen or gas OEM ones (whatever they are)

Me too, never had any problems with mine which were all bought from EBay.

Another thing to add, i had a problem with led sidelights before and they just sent me replacement ones straight away anyway, even if they didn't have warranty. So as long as the seller is decent then it's hard to go wrong with leds on ebay...
