Anyone got an Alien window kit?

Featured Replies

I'm considering an Alien window kit but have one question.

Does it bypass the window safety mechanism where it rolls down upon hitting something?

My drivers window occasionally rolls half way up before going back down. This is fine when I'm in the car to close it on a second attempt but would be stupid of the Alien controller couldnt close the window.

It does indeed: no chance of it not closing.

Let me know if you want any advice on the fitting ... alhough it's pretty straightforward.

Sorry to hijack the thread.....Are they easy to fit and is there only one to choose from.Don't want to buy the wrong one!

Yes they're easy to fit. Only one model AFAIK.

Hmm...... Dont possible to disable the feedback sensor I guess other wise it wont know when the window is closed? or will it?

It warns in the manual that it removes the safety feature but you have to remove a resistor on the supplied board just to make sure you realise the implications.

The windows know when they're closed as the motor does stop when the window is closed.

Oh that sounds like it will work fine for me then.

Cheers Eddy.
