Eibachs fitted

Featured Replies

There's no doubt that it looks so much better.

There's also no doubt that this has be one of the best cars to have in white - the lines of the bodywork seem to be highlighted more than any other colour (IMO), and the 17" Ray's just finish it off.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Black Magic Spaceback… but white would have been my first choice if they'd had one in stock!

And nice to see another member of the black grille club...

I agree, that chrome grille is a killer. Took mine off and sprayed the whole thing satin black.

Just got my baby back from Rainworth Skoda. http://imgur.com/qtZRkSO Wheels now look massive, and don't get lost in the giant wheel arch gap. Needs to settle a fair bit tho I reckon. I also asked

What about the wing mirror caps?

I keep looking at mine and wondering if they'd look better in black and I see you have yours done this way. Did you buy them in black or paint them?

Also, what is involved in removing the grill? I quite fancy getting the new Superskoda one when they eventually release it and get the black surround but I know that removing the bumper on the Civic was a right PITA and I broke one of the retaining clips despite being very careful so I don't want to chance it on this one

What is actually involved in a black grill?

Where are the sources for black grilles?

Thanks

The grille is Black [emoji6]

It's the grille surround that everyone is changing to the Monte Carlo one and is only available from the dealer at the moment [emoji19] at an extortionate price for a bit of Black plastic.

  • 1 month later...

Mine has had eibachs (25-30 mm drop) for about 9 months and 9000 miles so nice and settled now. Here is a photo of the unladen wheel to arch gap....eab8a41b15b9ff7da8b8db7acd12e2aa.jpg

I think a 60mm drop may be a little much unless you are going for that modified 'slammed' look...

Do you have a pic of the overall look of te car seen from the side? The front looks ok, but usually the back is higher (read: to high ☺ )

It's further back in the thread all the pics [emoji6]
