Engine pipe work help

Featured Replies

So I'm looking to upgrade my pipe work under the bonnet. But I have absolutely no idea where to start!

Basically all the rubber pipe work.

Links if you can please :)

By upgrade, do you mean "make pretty coloured"? VAG rubber hoses tend to last a very long time (owner of a Mk2 Golf, '91 vintage speaking, with lots of original hosework). Difficult to imagine a real upgrade on that TBH.

Well when you put it like that... Lol.

Yeah just want to add some colour to the bay

Fair enough, should be plenty of suggestions forthcoming. :)

So much for the forthcoming suggestions haha! If you have an egr delete any silicone pipework adapting that to your ally boost pipe (running down the left hand side of the engine bay) can be changed. I have an allard delete with a 63mm-57mm reducing 45 degree piece which is seen at the top and a 60-60mm 90 degree piece at the bottom (leading to the smic) which isn't. I'm also looking to do fuel lines and vacuum hoses but don't know the sizes or lengths needed.. Will update when I find out [emoji4]

Search Diy top boost pipes.

Yeah my pipes are the other way around, 90 degree at the top..

I've seen some pics of upgraded fuel / vacuum pipes, have a look in the build threads.

Cheers for the replies guys.

I'm mainly looking to change the vac and fuel pipes. Have found some on eBay that are 4mm would they suit?

Ryan

ashhoses do all sizes and colours, unsure whats sizes you need though.

You need special pipes for fuel/oil otherwise it eats through it I believe
