Loud Crack from accelerator pedal

Featured Replies

Yesterday evening, my gas pedal went weird on me.

Whilst turning around, it felt very stiff, like something was caught underneath it.

When I pressed it a bit harder, there was a loud crack, and it went down to the floor.

It now feels a bit loose, and very easy to hit the floor.

Any ideas what has happened?

Not had a look yet as it was dark at the time

Thanks

well dealer suggested I call skoda assist and they came out and found no fault with the pedal as such, but suggested I take in to dealer to check in case something had broken within.

Stone stuck in it?

I did check but there was nothing underneath or nearby

Pin broken at the hinge?

I had a clutch pedal break on a Clio and it was a small pin that had broken. Still worked but would move around and crunch a bit. Fixed it with cable ties and traded it in ****ing piece of **** French ****
