Air Con protection

Featured Replies

Hi All

After forking out loads of cash for a new air con radiator on my Octavia Greenline 2,  I fitted mesh behind the grill  and problem solved.

I upgraded to Octavia Elegance 3 and the only way to put mesh behind the grill is to remove the front bumper. Not really wanting to do that and weather conditions, I resolved it, by fitting the mesh externally.

I know the purists amongst you won't like it, but it gives me peace of mind and it was less than £30.

I was thinking of getting some mesh behind there as well, can you not get to it if the foglights are removed or the plastic engine undertray?

Hi where did you get the mesh from ?

Can you actually not remove the mk3 lower grill? Seems a bit silly.

has anybody found an easy way to access this and to fit a bit of mesh behind the lower grill/in front of the air con radiator?

That looks terrible, I think I will just risk getting a stone in my condenser
