I'm seeing lots of talk about cornering fog lamps.  Is there special hardware needed, or do all FL Octavias have the gear, but just need it activating via VCDS?

Just needs activating with VCDS

If you have fogs then you should be able to activate it.

 

Octavias since 2008MY have had the feature.

When people say MY2008 etc, what does the MY mean? Model Year?

Correct. It sometimes needs stating. My car for example is a 2007 registered car but actually a MY2008.

 

So just saying the year it was built/registered doesn't always tell the full story.
