Best media options for Ipod use

Featured Replies

Looking at replacing my Fabia VRS with a petrol Octy VRS in a few months , looking online it seems there are some options.

I'm familair with Columbus as we have it on our Superb but ours is pre midi connector so we connect via aux lead (not ideal)  , I do have the midi connector on my Fabia but the interface is clumsy and its awkward to use on the move

Ideally what I would like is something similar to my Nissan system

The new columbus is excellent with an iPod. Check out YouTube for videos of them working

Do you need the Mitsumi though ?

Just a standard iPod USB lead

Not with columbus as it has the full mitsumi functionality built in.

I'm under the impression that if you have the phone box, the car will come with mitsumi even with Columbus. At least that's what the dealers computer told him when I asked a couple of days ago.

That's incorrect. Also it's impossible to spec Columbus and Mitsumi.

I guess I'll have to wait and see, when my car gets delivered in about a month.

You CANNOT order mitsumi with a columbus. As said, columbus gives full functionality of ipod. Got this on my vrs, which is still at the dealership waiting for me till march :-(

It's great news if that's the case. Saves me the price of the cable.
