Lots of roadsound from the wheel house

Featured Replies

Has anybody experienced this? Gravel shooting up i the plastic and making loud noise inside the cabin.

Is there a way to soundproof from outside? Thanks

Yes, use bald tyres.

Serious answer time,

Not really unless you want to make a mess of the car, the only ways I can think of would be absorbant material in the arches and that will absorb water as well so a no no.

Any car will do this on that surface anyway.

You could try a soundproofing kit something like this if it really bothers you.  Not sure how effective it would be for the arches, maybe more on the rear arches...

I have done stage 1 soundproofing: whole trunk, bonnet, wheel arcs and doors. It reduced the noise significantly. Stage 2 to follow: the whole floor.
