New vRS Factory Fit Options List

Featured Replies

Here is the most recent (15/09/05) options list if you haven't seen it before. I've got the full standard spec too but can't be arsed to type it up right now.

Code Option Basic VAT RRP

PHB+6E3+PH4 Dual zone a/c, jumbo box, rear electric windows

18" Zenith alloys?

What are they like?

I've asked elsewhere so I apologise in advance if I missed it but are they going to do a Diesel vRS estate?

believe that these are the new vRS wheels.... standard car comes with 17" option is for same wheels just larger.... but don't quote me on that!

I see, similar setup to the Octy 1 vRS then, 17" Spiders on the Hatch but 16" on the estate albeit the same style.

Standard spec now added to original post.

In terms of toys they've obviously decided to position it between the Ambiente and Elegance - same as the last one. Wonder where that leaves the 'Sport' versions?

Also sad to see that you have to pay extra for rear electric windows and climate control - they were both standard in the Octy I vRS.

You pay extra for dual climate control , otherwise similar to current vRS. I agree its odd about the rear windows though.

The aluminium effect trim around the radio and heater controls looks really cheap IMO.

I would have expected the vRS to be based on the Elegance/L&K spec to begin with then fitted with spoilers, lowered, big alloys etc.

It's not aimed at the L&K market so you wouldn't expect heavy electric seats to be fitted but I would have expected rear elec windows, maxidot, dual(or even single) zone climate and steering wheel audio controls. I notice Skoda have included the tyre pressure monitor though. Probably because it's only a

I'd like to have seen 18" alloys, electric rear windows and dual zone climate on the standard spec... ah well.

and 19" alloys should be on the options list!

Hi ,

There appears to be no DSG available from the options list :-(

Hope it comes available real soon.

I'm sure they will offer it on the diesel version as it's well suited to diesel but i'm not sure about the 2.0 Fsi based vRS even with its 200bhp. Although it is available for the Audi A3 2.0 T which is also 200bhp so you never know. I'm not sure VW will licence the flappy paddle shift controls to Skoda. I would expect this in addition to the gearstick operated manual up down function for a car like the vRS. The TT has them.

Only ones I'd bother with..maxi dot and 18" wheels (maybe. Can't imagine 17" look too bad though?)

Good point re estate.Wonder if the same will happen this time and it will have 16" wheels?

why do people think of the vRS as the top of the range when it isn't then get stroppy when other models havbetter spec.

with the previous vRS it was an in between spec with the elegance and the L&K having things that the vRS didn't.

It always amazes me how much built-in satnav still costs! Is it really worth a grand over having something like Tomtom Go?

You'd think that on a new car they would have a better deal on it than that.

i do think the satnav is a it pricey but the factory fit is an indash screen twice as big as tom tom that come through the speakers etc. i know which i'd rather have if price wasn't an issue. i have sat nav in my 4x4 and its a proper built in one rather than a portable version, why do you buy a om tom go for example when you can get tomtom for your mobile?? its cheaper isn't it?

True.I just see it as the car that offers the sort of things I want.Don't care where it sits in the range

Cracking seats in the newvRS and nice interior.Nice alloys, spoiler, sportyish, fogs(just like them :) ) and an engine with some go.The things I look for.

Top of the range must mean the most expensive car in the range (pre speccing) so L &K top octavia??.Always used to be the 'Ghia's' in the Ford range even though there were lots of XR sporty versions around.

True true. Also, you probably get maxidot with the Skoda one. Of course built-in is better if cost is not an issue... but a grand? Thats a lot of bits of paper.

I'm not convinced with Tomtom mobile. You'd need a big phone else the screen is tiny, and is it going to be loud enough?

I know some of you guys are not convinced with the Parrot CK3100 or CK3300 but I think i'll go for the latter anyway. If you get a good firmware update and compatible phone/pda and satnav software combination you can use the CK3300 to run your satnav through and it even uses the handsfree link to the head unit to give satnav directions through your speakers.

Thats a no brainer as far as i'm concerned.

I think it's horses for courses - The TomTom has the advantage that (as well as being around a grand cheaper) you can take it from car to car. So I can use it, SWMBO can use it, and I can keep it when I change the car. It's loud enough to make itself heard over the stereo with no problems. But then I'm probably a bit biased ;)

Now confirmed that 18" Alloys =

Will you be able to get other options on top of these which you can normally get, e.g. Soundsystem (12 Loudspeakers)?

Oh yes i'm sure you will only the amp will be mounted in a carbon fibre surround with blue neon backlighting and Skoda vRS engraved into the glass cover.

I found these on http://www.skoda-auto.com where there's a whizzo "360 degree view" of the interior of the car.
