Anyone see the Dispatches programme earlier this week talking about the "great government con" on diesels, and how the last Labour government misled the public into "buying green" when studies have shown diesels to be bigger polluters than petrols?  They're talking about owners of older diesels likely being penalised in future by extra green taxes, and it certainly makes you think twice about egr mods when you see the stats on derv particulate pollution levels, especially Nitrogen Dioxide.

 

What does this spell for the vRS I wonder?  Personally, I think that the cars almost cult status will save it from the future scrap heap and it will remain popular, but guess it depends on where the government decide to take diesel taxation.

I don't think taxation will kill off any VRS's soon,    but rust and old age probably will do that before the government starts any drastic taxation changes
