Featured Replies

Hi all sorry if this has been coverd many times before iv searched and seen it has been done before but no one say which intercooler fits ... I'm wanting a smic upgraded for my blt vrs does anyone know which is best to go with I gathered no one does a bolt on one for these so one with least bodgeing .... Iv found these on eBay 371244955155 can anyone see why it won't be fitable ... Am not going crazy on power or upgrades and want to keep her not far from standard so not wanting to go down fmic route yet thanks

If you're not going for crazy power (so I assume just a remap?) don't waste your money as you won't need to upgrade, unless your current smic is goosed (but I'd still put an OEM one back in)

Yh fair point might find another oem one thanks

You could look into replacing the pipework, you can get alloy couplers from e-bay and use various silicone hoses and aluminium pipes to do everything from the turbo to the EGR. Well worth doing as the standard pipes are prone to leaking and failing eventually. Should be able to keep it standard looking as well if you use black silicone hoses.

Take a look here...

Iv already bought all pipe work from egr to cooler as standard pipes are leaking and covered in oil so thort it might be worth a new shiny cooler while I'm there but think I'll just change pipes for now and see how it goes thanks

Yeah, you can always clean the cooler to make it 'as new' anyway. Just have to be careful you don't use something too harsh with the plastic end caps.
