Parking sensors - swing stereo.

Featured Replies

So I've already agreed to buying this car, but was wondering what's the deal with getting the parking sensors to display on the swing stereo?

I've been told by the dealer that the sensors were fitted after, but are genuine skoda parts, fitted by skoda. However when in reverse, no visual guide is apparent on the swing stereo. It's not a massive problem, but I'd prefer the car to do exactly what it's supposed to.

Is there an easy solution to this? Or am I just going to have to live with it?

Cheers.

Only factory fitted sensors work with the stereo, the dealer fitted types dont and have their own bleeper unit, dont bleep through stereo. You have to live with it I'm afraid.

The genuine dealer fitted Skoda sensors do have an LED on the beeper at the back of the head liner that lines up with the rear view mirror, but the system is not connected to the head unit.

******.

It's no buggy, to be honest it's a bit loud too, could do with turning it down a bit. How do I do that if there's no stereo integration?

Greenstripe - so if I look in the rear view mirror, I should see LED's in the roof lining in the rear? Didn't notice that when I test drove it. I made it very clear and asked the question twice about it being genuine and skoda fitted. He said it was!

Just the one LED:

Here's a pic of my old Fabia - the arrow is pointing to the speaker with the LED:

Will have to have a look when they deliver it. What's the point of the LED if it's beeping at you?

It's an extra visual clue I guess, like the display on the stereo, but not as detailed.

My cars not got one of those leds...
