Climatronic Blower

Featured Replies

The blower for the heater has stopped working on my wife's Fabia (2010 1.4tdi). Apparently it flashed up 888 when it first stopped working and it's done this once since on starting the car!

I have done a search and read through the following threads including this one

Which seems to hint that the climatronic set up has a resistor somewhere else.

I'm guessing that it is the resistor that's at fault?

Where is it?

Is it an easy fix or better left for the garage?

The resistor is required to give you four alternative speeds. However the Climatronic system has a control unit that takes the place of the resistor giving more speeds. The long and short of that is it doesn't have a series resistor.

I would check to see if there was a live and earth at the motor and go from there.
