Sorry not very technical minded do you mean the system itself?  According to the owners manual its a Radio Swing if that helps.

BT-Audio is accessed through the Media button (you might need to press the media button twice, then the button that lines up with BT-Audo on the menu that shows), but the source needs to be playing or it won't show up as an option.

Surely it's mentioned in the manual??

Thanks for the replies guys. It's actually for her ladyships mobile phone. She says she'll try that tomorrow Chris, car's in the garage & it's freezing outside. Jonny5ive, the manual tells you to use the controls on the steering wheel & our Rapid dosen't have any.

On studying the Rapid Owners Manual that came with the car I find on Page 8 a picture of the cockpit that is different to mine. For a start it shows a left hand drive model, the radio is different to mine & it shows a multi function steering wheel that I don't have. Should  my Rapid have come with that type of steering wheel?

Why show a left hand drive cockpit in an English manual? Stupid really!

Only some of the range have the steering wheel controls. To get into the bluetooth menu you use the buttons on the right hand stalk. There is a two way rocker switch on the side and a button just underneath that you probably wouldn't have noticed (I didn't until I looked at the manual)

Press and hold the rocker switch down and it will take you  into the menus

Probably cheaper to just use the same pictures for all European models than flip the picture over to make it look right hand drive

I should add that my instructions assume you have already paired the phone with the car's Bluetooth interface.

as above if there are no steering wheel controls everything is acsessed through the rh stalk.  Hole the upper (rocker button) on the stalk for about 5 seconds it will then bring up a meni use the lower part of the rocker switch to go down to audi then delect which menu from there.  Make sure you don't do this while driving it is a bit fiddly. The switch under the stalk takes you off that screen and back to original.  Same for if your setting up bt for phones etc.

Thanks for your replies Chris & Mark. mark I see that you live in Burnley which is just down the road from Simpsons In Colne where I bought the car from. I've half a mind to have a ride up there tomorrow & ask them for a proper Rapid manual that is right for my car & point out the faults with the one i've got. Think it would be worth it?

No - waste of your time. There is no RHD manual, it's one manual for all cars and the dashboard is just reversed for RHD - everything is the same just mirrored.

You should have a separate manual for the Swing. If not, you can download it from the Skoda website or put it on your phone or tablet with the Skoda app.

It's all pretty intuitive though, you really shouldn't need a manual, especially as everything you need to know is now in this thread. Save your petrol, no point making a special trip just for a missing manual. Get it at your next service or recall visit.

Yes agre to above don't bother wasting your time.  I phoned and asked them something (to do with why my screenwash bottle had emptied and no light was showing on dash.  Simpson Skoda said the manual is the same publication for ALL cars whether UK or not.  I guess Latvia, Cossova, India etc have them in different languages though?

Different languages but same diagrams.

The manuals are all translated from Czech, so sometimes even reading the manual the translation is poor in some areas.

Thanks again for your replies. What annoys me is that we spend thousands buying the cars & Skoda can't even be bothered to print a proper English manual. Page 8 shows a picture of a cockpit. That diagram is nothing like my cockpit, my car is right hand drive, the steering wheel is different, the radio is different & my car only has two pedals (being a DSG).

Page 85 tells me about  setting up a Bluetooth phone, it says,"Using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel" whoa, stop right there, my wheel doesn't have those buttons & it dosen't tell you what to do if you don't have those buttons. Manual useless, it makes me wonder if there is anything else that is wrong in the manual.

Rant over!

And yes all the Seat manuals depict LHD as do any brochures etc., it annoys me too but it's always been that way really.
