A quick word of thanks

Featured Replies

I haven't made a thread but agree completely, I've asked a lot of questions on this part of the forum recently and been greatly helped each time with fast answers and good advice!

Thanks also!

Since I've been on here it's helped me massively, I was a sponge warrior before hand but since joining I'm now washing polishing and waxing it properly :)

Many thanks for the compliment Matt and Jack

It means a lot to have made a difference

Just watch your Wallet!! ;)  :giggle:

Yeah you and Ste and Soarkly haven't helped with the £££s

Advice costs... :D

You're welcome, enjoy

Pics?

I hate them all.

They've cost me a small fortune in cleaning stuff...

But I've learnt a lot, got a clean and protected car, had some laughs along the way and made what I consider to be 'some friends I've yet to meet' along the way.

Thanks everyone.

This styling section, detailing world and a detailing FB group I am do nothing for my wallet, but as it all goes into an arsenal of attack for me, it always comes in handy.

It's cheaper than modifying... This feels like a cheap hobby, for now.

I'll jump in and say thanks too if I may, like most of us who have caught the bug on here, I may be a little poorer for the bits and bobs that keep exploiting my weakness :giggle: , but I am a vastly wiser person now thanks to all the info that is passed on through here.

Special thanks to Sparkly and ChrisRs who have been a great help to me.

Pics?

It was bit dark last night but on the camera are some of the frost patterns this morning.

I will post them this evening.

Well I might as well jump on the bandwagon and agree with the above comments! Fair play - most questions I've asked on here are always answered quickly and informatively :)

Top section of the forum is this! Cheers guys :)

Can I please add my thanks too.

I change my cars quite regularly and join their forums. I can honestly say that this is the most vibrant of them all...especially this car care section.

That's obviously due to the tremendous knowledge of our sages. Not only their knowledge and expertise but their willingness to spend time giving info and explaining things for us mere mortals. Sometimes over and over again.

I salute you Gentlemen.

Best Regards

Mike.

Much appreciated Mike

We never did sort out that detailing session

Maybe in the Spring?

And the picture. It was a  bit dark so I either used daftly high ISO and then reduced the noise in processing or used a wide aperture. You got the latter!

This is Autoglym SRP. The bonnet had Dodo Juice blue velvet on it and looked much the same.

Sorry Matt..I cant see that very well

Is it a beading shot?

Meant to be Chris!

When I went outside I was hoping for frozen beads or ice spicules, but instead the frost had formed flat crystals rather like the scales on a Pangolin or similar. I presume the temperate and the amount of moisture in the air must have caused this.

I got home too late this evening to try again, but will try to get one on the mobile on the way out of the door tomorrow.

Much appreciated Mike

Maybe indeed, Chris.

Dunno what car I'll have by then though...looking at going back to a Jag.

I did a single stage polish on a Jag in the Summer (friend of my Sister)

Lovely car

Looks absolutely Fabulous, Chris.

A credit to your work.

What a nice thread

same as everyone else on here, always happy to help.

All anyone needs is a bit of a jump start to get going and they tend to figure out the rest themselves.

If we are doing thanks then I'll say thanks to everyone who has been good banter and entertainment In one of my most visited sections of this site.

Apologies for the absenteeism, getting married in 3 weeks and mind is elsewhere.
