Headlamp protectors

Featured Replies

Newbie here! Just purchased a Rapid Spaceback SE and am so far delighted.

Have searched on-line but cannot find headlamp protectors anywhere. I have had these fitted on my Fabia for 7+ years (plastic/perspex held on by 3 metal clips) and had hoped something similar would be available for the Rapid.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

There's nothing available I'm afraid, either genuine or non-genuine. It seems that headlight protectors are going out of fashion.

Thanks Chris. I feared that might be the answer! I did ask the dealer where i purchased the car but nothing was showing on the Skoda accessory list..

I had headlamp protectors on my old golf mk 5... I was told by several service master techs (I used to work for vw & seat) that the were not needed due to the plastic they now use being so strong.

You could always use Lamin X which is a film that's stuck over lights. It's available in different colours/shades and also clear [emoji106]

Stormchaser - thanks for the suggestion. Have you used Lamin-x before? Looks as though you have to purchase from USA -can't find any UK retailers.

There are other makes in the UK which are the same as Lamin X. You can apply with a hairdryer or heat gun for flexing it into place. I've seen quite a lot for sale on eBay.
