As above does anyone know the size of the stud that holds the downpipe onto the manifold (Felicia 1.3 Petrol) ? My calipers indicate that it's M8 but not sure as its rusty and not the best angle to measure at.

Etka says they are m8, and they are 25mm long.

Had 3 MOT fails this morning, Mainfold gasket needs replacing hence the nuts, bonnet catch needs freeing and rear indicator bulb had gone, can't complain.

How did they check for bad exhaust gasket? Was it obvious?

I am interested to know how tight is that gasket in my car and I need a reliable test method for less obvious leaks.
