Matching vinyl to paint code?

Featured Replies

Is this possible? I recently got a spoiler for my Octy (I know, I know), and it's a little tatty in places, whereas the rest of the car is in pretty good shape. I'd have a go at stripping, filling and repainting it, but I have very little room, and it's very much the wrong time of year, so vinyl wrapping might be a sensible choice. Is it possible to match vinyl to the car colour though, or is it really one of those things where people tend to do the whole car in one go?

Cheers

I'm not sure, be interesting to find out...I thought about carbon wrapping mine or at least doing some kind of insert looking type thing. Spoiler is one of those things that can look quite good a different colour, perhaps especially if that colour is elsewhere. Bare in mind if it's tatty and wrapped you will still see those blemishes appear as wrap won't be a smooth finish as it clings to the rough surface. How bad is it?

Not awful, there is some chipping though. It's definitely worse than the rest of the car.

Perhaps I should just have bought the black one  :notme:

No is the simple answer.

You may find one close to your colour but you will not be able to match your paint code and nobody offers is sercive.

Vinyl wrapper 8 yrs.

Any more pics of your car redders? Looks nice!
