Error: Airbag

Featured Replies

There's a light on the dash that looks like a bloke with a seatbelt and some bubblegum. I think it's one that's supposed to light up and go out again when the ignition is first switched on, but right now mine's on permanently, and when I first turn on the ignition the maxidot says "Error: airbag".

Just about to call the dealer, but I thought I'd give you useful chaps a crack too!

The handbook says nothing on the subject.

Happened to me also - had to take to the dealer who cleared it, report said it was a 'sporadic fault' so couldn't really explain what caused it.

Sounds like automotive diagnostics by IT support, "did you try rebooting it?"

It's booked in for Friday, so I'll find out in due course.

Stop thumping kerbs so hard.......

Well, it did start after the missus had taken it out, but she swears she hit nothing...

My missus swear too usually, at me.  Better believe her, its cheaper !!!

In the end it was a dodgy connector, but I was also told that there's a technical bulletin and I'm due new bump stops on the rear hatch as some cars have a "rattle". Unfortunately the bump stops are on back order.

Now I think there's another thread that I can post this in......
