AUM turbo on AUB engine. could this be done?

Not very mechanical mine just wondered if this could be done thanks

Forgive me for being thick but AUM is the 180bhp mk4 Golf GTI engine isn't it?  And AUB is 1.4 16v?

    If somehow you could modify the 1.4 manifold to seat the 1.8 turbo, it would be a right mess, and then engine management?

     

    WIth mk4 golf 1.8Ts around for £500-£600 it makes you wonder why bother?  Cheaper to probably drop a whole AGU lump into a fabia.

    Driveshafts, ecu, wiring, different mounts, fun times :(
