So many VRS questions...

Featured Replies

Q1:

I want to make the car more stealth to theives. Ideally I would like black calipers. However I definatly want to remove the VRS boot and grile badge, is the boot badge a stick on job and will I need a new grille for the front?

Q2:

Also which is the best sound upgrade, just the front speakers or do I need to sort the rears aswell?

Q3:

I was also thinking of a VW sat nav double din colour screen to replace the radio, anyone done this?

Q4:

My car has already been Jabba's, however I hear that changing the turbo inlet and the air filter to a green cotton one will improve things, any advice on this in terms of expereicence would be appreiated.

Thanks all!

Boot badge is stuck on, not sure about the front grill...

Callipers can be painted black, you can get suitable paint from Halfords and the like.

Speakers. Have you disconnected the rear tweeters?

That'll certainly help, after that start with the speakers in the front, their closer to your ears after all.

Sat-nav, yes Eddy H has done this.

Turbo-inlet should improve initial pick-up, after that it and the air filter are there for the noise :D

How to for clocks and illumination is in the technical guides. Steering wheel is from an R32, it'll fit with a vRS 3 spoke airbag but as I had a 4 spoke wheel as standard I had to source a new airbag which unfortunately ended up being VW.

Satnav was around

but i suppose if i fit that din unit i cant fit my subs! or is there a way?? i cant see why skoda didnt fit that as a option?

Skoda did do that sat nav as option but with green illumination. Not sure if it was available on the vRS though.

What do you mean about subs? If you require pre-outs then the sat nav has them.

I will have a TIP up for sale in the very near future.

ABD TIP....directly replaces the standard item.

Fairly straight forward to replace but can be a real bugger on the knuckles.

PM me if you're interested.
