Hi guys,

 

After doing reasearch on the what looks to be very common problem with the expansion tank (Alram going off inside the cabin saying to top up coolant, only to find its fine)

 

So im going to buying a new expanion tank w/ sensor, but is it worth draining the whole coolant system and replacing? My Fabia's coming up to 100k miles and I'd guess doesn't get replaced to often.

 

What are you thoughts?

Has it had a cambelt recently? As the coolant would have been changed then.

 

Got my new tank for £12 off E-Bay, exactly the same tank as oe fitment

Yeah it had a new cam belt at late 60k if I rememeber correctly.

 

Ahh good stuff, I think I'll just repalce the coolant tank then
