Rear wiper removal

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am wanting to take my rear wiper off and before I get round to it wanted to know a few things.

1: is there any specialised tools needed?

2: is there a "proper" name for the bit that fills the hole left by the wiper not being there?

3: what happens to the water pipe that would lead to the rear window? Would that need to be capped off, and if so how? Just don't want to end up with a puddle of water in my boot one day.

Remove with a 13mm socket/spanner, the hole is filled with a blind grommet (22mm iirc) and to cap off the hose push a 4mm screw or something similar into the end and tape/ silicone it up. It's also worth sealing behind the grommet with clear silicone to prevent any leaks. Hope this helps :)
