Air box air duct hose clamps

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

Daft question but does anyone know what the name of the type of hose clamps used to clamp the air ducting to the intake and stock air box is? I damaged one with a pliers when removing and would prefer an exact replacement instead of a standard hose clamp.

Cheers!

There is little difference between the jubilee clip and the spring clamp, the spring clamp is just easier to use in a confined space. Seem harder to find in the size you want. Might be best to try a motor factors or something?

Spring clamps do have the advantage however of constantly applying pressure on the hose instead of only applying the pressure that they are 'set' too like jubilee clips. It just means that when hoses expand or contract with heat they are always under the same pressure by the clamp.

The official name is "continuous tension clips" - or something close to that, I went looking for a pair when I replaced track rods, but could not find a seller, just companies that made them.
