Skoda Fabia Radio/Cassette not working

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and Skodas. Just some advice really...

I purchased a lovely Skoda Fabia (Y reg) 2 days ago and the radio/cassette doesn't work (I bought it knowing this)

I was driving to work today and half way in my journey the radio came on out of the blue but when I come to park and switched the engine off. The radio kept playing. Switching the off button didn't work. The volume didn't work either so it's quite loud. The cassette bit is constantly pushed in also. I can't seem to get the flap to push down. None of the buttons work either. The radio turned off eventually.

Is this a simple job to fix or would you recommend buying a new radio? It's quite a boring drive with no music as the car is so quiet.

I would recommend putting a new stereo in tbh, Just need a little piece of trim part no. 6Y0857231B41 (dealers £3 or ebay £6) then any stereo will fit
