What was your build week?

Build week 6 this time, think it must have been early in the week

My car had a provisional week 5... I Just can't get any more information from the dealers at the moment (order via lease company).

Mine was built in week 48 without the extras, so it was reordered at New Years, they've got my money, I've got their loan yeti

So this time they are keeping me really well informed :-D

What was your spec? Mine's 150ps diesel elegance 4x4 estate

No confirmed build but im going to call today for an update. Spec is a vrs Estate in metal grey with a few extras on top. I ordered in November and was given a 20 week lead time. Obviously that has come down a bit recently.

Yours should almost be at the dealers by now! I ordered mine 23rd November, was built w/c 19th Jan and was expected in the country the week before last (not picking up until 1st March so not fussed about chasing to see if its arrived at the dealers yet!).

 

Mine was also a vRS estate (TSI), originally ordered in metal grey but I changed my mind to race blue, with a few extras.

That's what I thought. I keep getting updates from the lease company saying it's due at the dealers at the end of March... Which just happens to be when my old lease expires

Ok, just had word from skoda, it's been built and is on UK soil, just waiting for transportation to the dealership.

So to confirm, the order went in at the very beginning of November and it was built the last week in jan and has already reached UK soil. ... I can feel my impatience building already... I Just hope i can give my Passat back a month early!

That might mean mines at the dealers already...might go and have a look.......1st March isn't that long away!!!

had an update to say my car is now on a boat!

 

from what I have gleaned from here, it will be one of the Kess 'highway' boats...

 

EMS highway has just left Grimsby, African highway is on its way there now,

 

Thames Highway is in Sheerness, Gran Canaria Car is due into Sheerness from Emden too (but this isn't Kess)

 

so it should be in the country by tomorrow afternoon I think, unless it's on Schelde highway and is about to be loaded

 

how long does it take to unload the boats (about 5-6000 cars I think(?))

 

how long to get to dealership? It is going to Cambridge so could be going to either port as Cambridge is about the same distance from both ports

My car was at dealers yesterday, so about a week from ship to dealer (but I guess they are busy at the mo ramping up for 15 plates (?))

But we've just set collection for next Wednesday..... Aaargh that's another whole week!!!!

It's not the despair, I can handle the despair. It's the hope that's killing me!!!

I envy your position. My car is at the dealership but i can't take delivery until my current lease ends, which is at the end of March or possibly the beginning of April. More than a month away for me

How do you pick up on a Sunday ? I didn't think dealers could tax the car on a Sunday !

Haha.. It's all done on line now... No need for a tax disk in the window these days either

You can tax online anytime.

The dealers can preregister for everything starting on the 1st I thought (?)

Anyway we could have collected on the Monday.... But it's better all round if we do it on Wednesday (Lucy's night shifts etc)............ It's horrible being old and sensible :-(
