Hi All, 

 

I have a Fabia vRS (Mk1) which is running at 178.9bhp and 334nm torque. 

 

Last weekend I had a full straight through system fitted, however with a result of taking the cat out I am now overboosting by around 300mbar. (This was shown up when it was on the dyno).

I cannot have the turbo tweaked as when the car went onto the dyno my clutch wouldn't agree with it so i've had to postpone until I can get my new clutch.

 

Tonight i've fitted a boost gauge so I can see what i'm boosting (in PSI). 

 

What should I be keeping the boost to safely without damaging my turbo? Ideally in PSI please.

From what I've read on here the remapped safe limit for the standard turbo seems to be round about 22-24PSI. 

 

While you can push a bit more out of it it's anyone's guess as to how long the turbo will last.
