What should my brother do?

Featured Replies

My brother has a 03 Octavia 110 Tdi L&K 14,000 miles. The car is fine nothing wrong with it at all, we have just been to our local dealer and he has seen a Superb 130 Elegance Auto 05 with ALL the bits on it for

stick with octy... much more practicle boot for pushchair etc. cars paid for soon so one less worry... and its not as if its even old yet.

Money saved on not getting a new car can go to baby etc etc.

work out the finances first (can he afford it if swmbo isn't working) kids have a nasty habit of costing loads a money............on the other side the superb is just that "superb" very nice car to drive, economical, very comfortable, loads of space.....boot is big but access is smaller (thinking of prams etc.) insurance is cheap

I would say it's down to the finance in the end if he can afford it go for it but check prices at other places ....skoda are trying to shift Superbs at the moment

Keep the octavia.

The boot will be much more useful and the mileage means it's barely run in.

No point in spending another 8 gand when you don't need to , especially with all those nappies to buy

Keep Octy, as nice & large as the Superb is, it has a boot and as we all know boot access can be restrictive for prams, buggies, box containing babies requirements on days out :) plus you have the added bonus of a low milage fully paid up car on your hands .

That sounds like a very good trade in price for his Octy.

Thats not the Auto Superb we have all be test driving is it Mike?

That was up for less than that a little while ago.

Maybe a used Comfort spec in dark meteallic blue would do? ;)

I sense a change of direction in a Chrysler 300C V6 3.0 diesel when they come out next year ;)

On topic....I would stick with the Octy m8. More practical with young-uns and less to worry about in Tesco's bumper park.
