Hello Briskoda

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. New user here but not a stranger to car forums. I'm an admin on one of the Audi sites.

I'm Murdo from Prestwick. Very much a car geek through and through. Been an Audi fanatic for years and currently run a Q5 and an A2.

Joined today primarily to read up and learn from experienced owners regarding the Octavia estate as I'm seriously considering leaving my Audi affiliation for my next company car and going for an L&K 4x4 estate.

So firstly I'd be really appreciative to hear any views on this and will do some reading as well.

Hopefully I'll become a regular as my father in law has a Fabia TDI and I'm looking at a Roomster at the moment for my dad.

Slik looking site!

Wee update. After much pondering I decided I couldn't live with brown alcantara and the vRS just kept on catching my eye. So heart has ruled head - I've ordered my first non 4wd car in a decade and can't wait for delivery!

vRS TDI manual estate in Candy white.

VRS leather and red stitching

black styling pack

18" Gemini anthracite alloys.

Columbus nav

Canton sound

I pod interface

colour driver display

reversible boot floor

heated washer jets

Only option I can't decide on is the power tailgate but left it just now.

12 to 14 weeks about right for this?

Can't wait!!!!!

Feels like an eternity wait however I pick up the new car on Thursday. We all know what they look like but I will take some snaps and post them up and I'm looking forward to participating as a pukka Skoda keeper and updating my impressions of the car as we 'get to know each other'

Update to the spec choice too - I decided to go for the power tailgate and hopefully I won't open it against a fence like I did with the Q5. DOH!!

Thanks for the update Murdo - good luck with collecting the new car!

Looking forward to reading/seeing more details in due course....

Hi, Murdo

thought I recognised the ID, from the small Audi forum. Think I may have met you at Castle Combe one year.

I to have moved into Skoda ownership, now with a Yeti 2.0 TDI SE.

Look forward to seeing the new beast, something I wouldn't mind owning

Hi Widdy. Yes I remember you from Audi driver. I very seriously pondered the Yeti however she who must be obeyed dubbed it a 'popemobile'.

Very harsh judgement methinks but as I value a happy marriage it was struck off the list.
