Thinking of selling my 2006 octavia vrs and buying a 2005 bmw 525d m sport?

I would like to get your thoughts peeps

 

These are the specs of the two car

 

My VRS-

2006 with 99k and FSH

2 previous owners and owned by me for four years

I do love this car

 

BMW 525d m sport 

2005 with 127k and FSH, 2.5d with manual box

Leather, idrive, bluetooth, parking sensors all round, privacy glass

It looks in very good condition and I should be able to get it for 5.5k

 

All in, I love the skoda and have had a ocy vrs for 9 years now but i have always liked the look of the E60 m sports!

I hopefully should get near 5k for the vrs as I have ocd (well the wife thinks so) and wash it every week and full wax once a month, it looks v.nice plus, I have all the original parts that will be included when I sell it

 

Not sure what to do and I'm driving myself mad

You will need to be sure it more than looks good and is actually a good one, and anything needing done is budgeted for.

Then be sure you can get a buyer for your car at the money you want.

 

Then a change is as good as a rest.

The grass wont be greener on the other side IMO,having owned 3 vrs's, impreza sti, Astra vxr, I always end up back where i started and that's with the Octavia VRS... It takes some beating.

Id swap but I like to change cars, very smart, yours is similar to mine but with few more miles on

A 530i would make me consider swapping, nice straight 6 to go with the classy looks. A diesel... not so much!

You've made my mind up..... ...keeping it! For now

I have an 2005 E61 525d, at 127K, probably it will need DPF around 150K, a turbo any time if it hasn't had one, almost certainly both thermostats will have failed, glow plugs and glow plug controller also high on the likely to have failed list.
