I am currently selling my 2011 mk2 Skoda superb multi function steering wheel on eBay and have been asked by the winner if it will fit his 2005 mk2 octavia?

he will need additional parts including an airbag, controller and if he wants all the functions to work a FL octavia Maxidot

 

it is annoying when you get people like that, i fear that if you send it to him he will come down with buyer regret

Is it the same diameter as the standard leather 4 spoke in the FL? I may be interested if you need to drop this buyer, but definitely can't have anything bigger than standard Elegance wheel due to my long legs!

Perhaps Eddie can confirm that all functions will work in a FL elegance without maxidot? Have bolero and Bluetooth fitted with a ...CQ steering controller fitted.

You can use your airbag, but will need a mfsw loom

 

You will also need a CD or CH controller

 

The audio side will work fine, the trip computer side, only the OK will work

Thanks Eddie. I have access to VCDS so can get a controller and code it up if necessary, with a little guidance! It looks like Chunk is selling complete with airbag, so I assume the correct loom is already included. From his photos it looks like the wheel has a volume roller and skip forward/back on left control, and telephone, back button and up/down roller on the right.

 

So the right roller would not scroll through my trip display? When you say OK button, is this pressing the roller in? Is this equivalent to the '2nd function' for my trip computer?

 

If the trip navigation up/down won't work on the wheel, would my right stalk controls continue to function, or would they be disabled by installing and coding in a MFSW?
