Anyone folded their rear seats yet?

Featured Replies

it doesnt rattle just supports the foam a bit more i guess to keep the seats in shape rather than warping around the actual floor where they rest :o

BRISKODA REVOLT!!!

I dont have them either!

Fitted them last night. A pain to do and probably impossible without tools of some sort. One clean car body filler spatula/spreader, one large flat bladed screwdriver. Seat squabs just popped out at the hinge on the bodyshell.

They don't fit all that well but they were meant to be there, so short of them snapping or simply not fitting at all, they were going in.

ISTM that either the plastic covers are slightly small or the seat frames are slightly big. All the right tabs and cutouts are there but without a stanley knife (I didn't bother) it's not possible to get a closer fit as the wire framework of the squab is just out of line.

I dont have them either  it would be usefull for when my seat are down carrying stuff to stop the foam gettin dirty and damaged.

From what I remember mine looked loose and a bit tackily put on. So I don't think they're meant to be flush and perfect.

i will take better pic of mine that fit fantasic :P

Just been the dealer -gave me a set straight away! They said Skoda sometimes put them in the boot but not in every car. He looked in 5 before he found some to give me. I have yet to do the krypton factor fitting!

Right I'm going to get some to, better when seats stored if removed for extra luggage, protectors.

mine fit rather well :)

moving away from thread slightly, why does a light come on dash when double seat is folded down but not single? was shocked even to find a light coming on when seat was folded. seems odd theres a switch on one side and not other.

I got plastic too! took seat's and spare out on sunday Ready for racing in my local area! www.midnightracing.com

Pointless bits of tat, I chuck em in the bin. Fed up with the things cracking and doing my fingers in.

I guess the only thing they are for is to protect the foam if you have the seats folded forward and things stashed in the boot.

Because the three point seat belt is in the double seat. Thats what its there for.

My 2005 vRS Fabia has exposed foam on the bottom of the rear seats... Why do I feel out done all of a sudden? :(

Same on mine too

I have this image like something out of Braveheart!

Fellow Skodamen! For so long now' date=' our back seats have been left uncovered by ruthless Skoda dealerships! :grumpy: [grrrrr'] Now is the time to fight back! Are you WITH ME! [YEAAAAH] They may take our MONEY! BUT THEY WILL NEVER TAKE, OUR SEAT COVERS!!!!! :D

Testify, brother!

I'm with ya!

Changed mine last week - they were cracked on my new VRS.

Did not see this thread - but they are not worth bothering with total cr*p.

Could have saved my 100 mile round trip!

Now I have got oily mechanic prints as well - these VRS seats don't colour match oil.!

Not seen the benefit of the Sureguard yet either?

Come on Skoda - such a cool car and such a poor seat finish.

It's not like you regularly look under the seat to make big issue of it with the dealer you know....it wouldn't have bothered you if you hadn't been so peeky in the first place!! It wasn't bopthering you in the beginning now was it? :D

Pretend you never saw it.......................

I am not going to look under my seats...I'm very compulsive :D

So if I was to ask for them at my next service would you be impressed? :P

What have I started!

They're plastic covers that look beter than exposed sponge cushions. They don't seem to fit very well but IMO they do look better.

J.

Surely the plastic covers will also remove the possibility of the bare exposed wire damaging the top of the rear seat when you fold it down as there should be less things to snag on. Am calling my dealer today to find out where mine are as my bike is making a mess of the foam... :thumbdwn:

You might get a polite version of "Fit them your f*cking self" :)

Never actually understodd why Skoda didnt fit them from factory to be honest, probably because they are a **** to fit.
