Upgrade to RNS 315 dab

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I have just bought an RNS315 dab to upgrade my Bolero unit, I know I will need GPS and DAB antennae fitting but will I need anything for the phone prep. I have been told it has Bluetooth within the unit. I have also just had a thought about my parking sensors and climatronic display, will these still work?

I should of thought about this a little more before buying maybe !!!!

Thanks in advance guys.

If it has the Bluetooth built in then you will also need a microphone and cable to install in the interior light.

With your car being a FL model (2009+) then parking sensors etc will still show on the screen.

Do you have Maxidot?

Thanks Phil, no maxidot I`m afraid. Where does the mic plug into by the way?

You shouldn't need any coding then and it should work straight away.

Into the back of the stereo.

You get the long cable with it that you run up the side pillar of the windscreen to the interior light.

I know Eddie-NL on here sells them for a decent price.

Excellent Phil, thanks very much. I never even thought about displays and mics !!! I was lucky, I suppose I could have wasted a lot of money on a pointless exercise. I assumed it would have a built in mic and that all I needed was additional antennae.

I will bet in touch with Eddie NL and get a price.

Do you do coding by any chance too? I have a few bits I want enabling if possible. I am only in Leeds and I have beer tokens or equivalent currency of choice !!!

Yes I have VCDS.

Next time I'm over visiting my mum in Birstall I'll drop you a message.
