Simple question

 

Where's the fuse box on the Fabia 3?

 

Wife has ordered one (a fabia that is, not the fuse box! ), and wants a dash cam fitted, so trying to figure out what I need to order from ebay, and I ideally want to fit it like the one in my Octavia (which is pretty set up pretty much identical to Fubars guide in the Octavia forum --> http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/265343-dash-cam-12v-multi-adaptor-hidden-install-driver-storage-compartment/ )

 

Anyone fitted a dashcam in the Fabia 3 yet? Any hints / tips / photos of install? i.e. is there a cubby hole under the headlights switch?

whilst I'm at it - are they mini-blades or standard?

Surprised that no-one responded, but fortunately page 186 of the user manual pinned to the top of the forum helps (don't know how I missed that when I posted!   )

Fuse 46 ("Front and rear window washer, operating lever under the steering wheel") looks like a good standard blade to try and hook into

There doesn't appear to be a cubby hole under the steering wheel it could sit in, as per the Octavia!? any other discreet places it could sit?

No one has a Fabia III yet so that's probably why no one has responded

 

I've seen two of them on my commute this week!! One at about 7:20am on Monday near Burford and the other at 6:45pm Last night on the A40 near Witney!

 

I've still got 16 months before I can get one!! :(

You'd be better off using a proper dashcam hardwire kit than the adapter in that link.

wanted to use the box to power some other stuff too - ah well, I can squeeze in a smaller adapter if I have to
