Alloys prepped for summer.

Featured Replies

Polished with P1 using tri foam hand applicator, protected with GTechniq C5.

Couple of minor marks touched in with touch up paint.

Light swirls removed, few light scratches remain but not bad for a quick polish by hand.

Will be back on the car when this lousy weather warms up, so a few weeks yet!

Very nice work - top job!

Lovely work, well done.

It's a nightmare keeping gloss black alloys looking good. They look bang on. Nice one.

Nice work Simon

A said..a sod to polish and keep clean and to keep them unmarked..they scratch very easily

They look really nice. Good job.

Need to get mine re-powdercoated at some point they are looking rather tatty now, As others have said black is a pain to keep nice.

My winters are off now and the resealed 18's back on..Car looks like it should again..ready for sale as well soon

I tried g5 on my alloys but it didn't seem to last anymore than fk1000p so I went back to that

Ive had Carbon Collective Ceramic sealer on mine for over a year now

I top that with Wheel Whores Wheel Wax...cleaning is a cinch!!

I've just done this to my TT Comps after the brake dust decided to eat the CC coating off and etch the wheels...

DAS6 came out. I love having 5 big spokes ha ha!

Now freshly coated with 2 new coats of CC, topped with a coat of Chemical Guys Wheel Sealant, which I will be doing regularly.

Just done the DS3 alloys..Going back on tomorrow

Then the wifes new car will need doing at the weekend

They will be very well protected now.

Quick question, I've used CC but never topped them with a wheel wax. I've also done other wheels with just a wheel wax. I've found that brake dust does not stick to the wheels with CC on as much as wheels with wax on. Bit like sealant & waxes on the bodywork, dirt/dust sticks to waxed panels more than ones with sealant.

Anyone noticed any difference?
