Also when i change gear the revs seem to hold. Is this a safety feature and can it be mapped to remove this?

I have already had a stage 1 map with a k and n panel filter by Jabba. I intend to go back there once myself and a mechanic friend fit these parts.

I had the same problem with the revs holiding between gears. Turned out it was an "Implausible signal" from the clutch pedal switch. Very quickly swapped the switch for a new one and all was well again.

Incidentally Jabbasport did my IHI VF34 kit for me......some 80k miles ago and it's still going strong and I use the car every day. SAI and N75 and Recirc Valve still standard. Exhaust is a resonated 3" Milltek all the way through from front to back, from a Jabba exhaust manifold.

Good luck with the build.

OK thanks. Are the parts I stated on the right track though?

The parts are on the right track, but have you thought about the handling by upgradeing the bushes and suspension?

Hi I am thinking of coilovers, uprated Arbs and s3/TT strut braces

  • 2 weeks later...

The biggest difference to the handling on my car was when the RARB went on. It almost completely eliminated the understeer. I couldn't live without my Quaife LSD now either. The Weitec coilovers are another matter though. They're well choppy. Great for lovely smooth roads, but a bit of an own goal considering how lumpy it is out here in the fens.......doh!!! :dull:
