Anyone own or owned Fiesta ST MP215?

Featured Replies

I went to see this today. An ST2 14 reg with 11400 miles(bit high?) and needs 2 front tyres already [emoji15]

They were Bridgestones from new.

It's a great colour car but haven't test driven yet.

I'm entirely down with when the new plates are released, but isn't that in the region of 10k miles a year, depending on when it was registered? they do look good in that blue though :)

Only just seen this but my dad works for that VW franchise and would have had a word with him for you if id seen it sooner....still could if its still there and your intrested

Thanks for the offer, I'm afraid between family health matters and work I've not been back on much recently so missed your reply, apologies.

The OP's son now has his new car i believe.

He has George, yes, and no doubt on account of what he eventually decided on he will need to tap into the wealth of knowledge on here regarding a particular engine and gearbox combo lol

I must have missed the update.

Sorry Richard, and others, my son eventually opted for a low mileage Ibiza Bocanegra in Dakota Red. I believe his logic is that he will be able to insure that car a bit easier (ended up just under £800) at the moment than he could a Golf Gti (quoted around £1500 mark) and that he intends to hopefully build his no claims bonus prior to most likely changing his car about 3 years down the line when he has his sights set on an R. Whether or not that is what happens remains to be seen of course.

I know it's an interesting final choice he's gone for, but his first car was a Seat Ibiza 1.4s and he had hankered after a Bocanegra for a wee while. I had told him about the engine and gearbox combo and potential pitfalls if it were troubled in same way as the mk2 Vrs, but he's hoping he's found a good one. He's enjoying the early days of driving and owning it.

If it was me, I would likely have gone after the ST2 or 3 but would definitely have the Mountune upgrade. It's my belief after what seemed an eternity looking through cars with him that VW's are overpriced, perhaps not as well built as they once were, and that Ford has come on leaps and bounds from what I had long held believed them to be.

Thanks everyone for your reviews, guidance and help.

Would have to say, having viewed these in several different colours, that my favourite colour in the open air is the blue one above, but in a well lit showroom the molten orange one is also nice. Not so keen of it in the open air though.

I'm a ford fan and have a mountune ST. That price is high though. You can get a new one thousands less if you shop around.

The ride is hard, it's an excellent motor and better than the 200 EDC and 208 GTi although I'm loving my Polo GTi 1.8 at the minute, the ST just wins though for me. You won't be disappointed

Ahh,

is this a New 2015 Polo GTI 1.8TSI  or an original one?
