Hello all, my car for a good while now runs lumpy for a few seconds after cold start. You have to hold it at around 1000 rpm until it settles down. I have noticed blue smoke as well sometimes. Does this sound like it could be a glow plug issue?

Starting on 2 or 3 and smoothing out after a few S does sound a bit like a glow plug issue (up to a point; the plugs are only "on" with air temp below 5C), but associated smoke should be white and smell of diesel fuel. Blue smoke usually associates with lubricating oil burning in the cylinders.

Sorry it is more white and definitely smells like diesel. I'm picking up some NGK's today for it
