Hope someone may be able to help just bought a 2010 octavia vrs with 44k but I have noticed a really strange noise when revved or under load the noise sounds like a electric motor whine it's been back to the garage to have a new alternator fitted as they suspected that was the culprit but it's still the same my neighbour thought it was supercharged lol so it's quiet a Loud noise

Can anyone help??????

Take the alternator belt off and start it up with it off and see if it goes if not then may be inside the timing cover?
