Boot mech problem

Featured Replies

My car has been off the road since September/October (i say this as the battery went completely flat, but have since used a charger and everything seems fine. No lights on dash etc) and I have just tried to open the boot using the bottom on the door itself and it wouldn't open.

I immediately grabbed the keys and used the fob and it popped.

To confuse the matter, once I dropped the boot and immediately tried to use the button again, it worked, but only the once!!  :S

Anyone got any ideas?

Dodgy boot handle, mine does this. Its caused by water leaking from rear wash wipe onto the contacts of the switch. Buy a new one from skodaparts.co.uk
