Stiff connector for headlight bulb...

Featured Replies

Just wanted to double check I wasn't going to break anything- checked the manual and it says just to remove the connector first by pulling on it.

Should I use a screwdriver to help it on its way? Wanted to see if there was a certain knack to it or If i should just be more ruthless with it!

I'm not with my car at the moment otherwise I'd be trying it out!

Just be ruthless. They're a tight fit but will come off with brute force.

Cheers, will attack at lunchtime!

They're tight to prevent arcing as they pass a 5A current to the filament.

The manual is correct too; pull the connector off before unlocking the bulb holder.

It's just possible to get a flat bladed screwdriver in there to prise it a bit, then it pulls off easily ;)

Call "Stormchaser" I wasn't even man enough to remove them and had to go to his to get them removed when I changed the bulbs :D they loosen up over time, perhaps wear gloves to get a better grip but yes, yank the **** out of them and prepare to smack your knuckles when they finally come loose

Haha yes they're very tight [emoji16]
