Hello Everyone

I bought my first Skoda VRS estate on Wednesday, I also own a Civic VTI-S MB6 1.8 which the head went on before Christmas I have been working on the engine and I bought a Civic Aerodeck to tied me over cheap but sadly its a bag of nails.

I woke up on Wednesday Morning with a mission and went car shopping, as im self employed the green rusty and badly poly bushes (Squeeky as hell) Aerodeck was not giving me the image I wanted so its on ebay selling now and I needed a new motor.

the cars I looked at were the seat leon cupra mk1 which has the same 1.8T engine but it had already sold but wasn't take off ebay stupid car sales, then it was time to look at a 1.8vvti T-Sport corolla 190bhp which had zero torque and had scratches on every panel, then finally I looked at a ST170 Focus..................Ford badge enough said.

while I walked away completely disenchanted after another crap day car shopping I quickly searched ebay and saw a freshly listed VRS estate close to me in Alfreton.

I shot over there and I ended up buying my black VRS estate 1.8T with full service history great body work and drove lovely im extremely impressed with its performance and its build quality, ive always wanted one since my 21st birthday holiday in Prague where they were all displayed in the air port so had a good look around them while awaiting my plane said to the missus then ill have one of them one day and so fate has it I now own one its such a nice car.

Life story.............................ha ha well may aswell give some background.

pictures in abit car spec:

I paid £1,990 and its done 114,000 miles with service history and good body work and interiors like new I have a Dog Guard useful to keep my Boxer Puppy in check.

its got a sigma alarm system according to the paper work its factory fitted?

standard VRS trim and nice VRS 16" alloys also tidy.

I think I paid roughly the market value of it but the chap threw in a cambelt kit and water pump so not gonna moan that's what you get from dealers they're like vampires.

the cars only supposed to be a stop gap while I rebuild my CIVIC but if im honest im keeping it coz I like it so much gonna juggle them both my civics highly modded so it will be a toy this is far more practicle as a daily and better MPG if I drive sensible.

I serviced it up yesterday and flushed all the sludge oil out put fresh Castrol 5/30w in it and the genuine skoda service kit from Skoda dealership in Rainworth cost me about same as OEM so I like to stay genuine if I can afford to.

Plans for future possibly the Ko4 turbo and a remap, with stainless steel exhaust miltek system or summot see how I feel, not fitting a cone filter as ive tested them on dyno with my civic and they are a complete waste of money due to heat soke from the engine bay, I may just smooth out the Skoda box and put a K&N panel in, seen that makes good gains and is cheap.

on my civic haven't found anything under £300 quid that can out do the Integra type R air box and K&N filter on a dyno so why bother......imagine the VRS is the same story.

so that's my story Hello everyone.
